We had been on Viking River cruises in Europe and were happy with all of them (4). Decided to try a "not large ship" for a change--usually go on cruises of over 2,000 people. This was only 930 passengers, no children. The decor was Scandanavian and relaxing--numerous public areas with comfortable, living room type furniture, book-lined walls, and peaceful live music. No one is taking your picture or selling you anything--all included except for liquor. Excellent food and service. Each port has an included excursion, most of which were very good. A couple of them were so-so and that was mainly because of the individual tour guide--the destination was fine. Did not have any formal events although people "dressed up" a bit for New Year's Eve--was a fun evening but not crazy boisterous.

Entertainment was well done--not extravanganzas. Had poolside night movies with individual headsets--current movies and popcorn! Watched from comfortable chaises by the pool. Daily High Tea incuded--lovely service, scones, sandwiches, etc.

Cabin Review

More storage space than could use. Had full use of mini-bar at no cost. Bathroom very conveniently laid out and step into it not as high as most. Spacious shower.
