Loved the theme of castles and cathedrals..have taught Medieval literature so places were familiar.....loved the variety of excursion opportunities ...enjoyed evening entertainment from local musicians to lecture on French and German history to games....appreciated the gracious, competent helpful staff...kudos all around!

The eating experience was perfect...eat where you want with whom you wish. The menu was eclectic and suited all tastes....loved the kitchen tour one evening. People on the tour became friends with similar interests and interesting backgrounds. many were on a second or third Viking cruise. The smaller number than on a floating city cruise was a welcome change.

The pacing of events with time in between to relax or visit worked well. You never felt hurried or pressured. I appreciated the ease of having a German friend from Heidleburg join me for dinner on board. No problem at all.
