We chose a Viking cruise for our first cruise ever. This was based on their excellent reputation, the itinerary, and size of boat.

The boat was very nice. There were approx 200 people on the boat, so it was not crowded and it gave a chance to meet a lot of people.

The food was excellent! Their were special menus each night to reflect the country we were in at the time. Also, unlimited wine, beer, or soda with lunch and dinner. We paid extra for the drink package to have drinks at other times as well. I noticed this package is often included now on other Viking cruises. Read more
