We chose this cruise to learn more about the Rhine River and it's interesting cities and sites. The reception at the airport in Basel was wonderful and the transport to the ship was fast and efficient. Check-in was flawless and easy to do. Our stateroom was cleaned and waiting for us when we arrived at 1030 a.m. on the morning of departure. The ship is new, clean, well-maintained and the crew knowledgeable about every aspect of the cruise. Dining was effortless and seating was as desired. Service in the dining rooms and on the alfresco deck was perfect. Wine and beer provided with lunch and dinner, plus the bar prices in the main bar were below that I've experienced on previous cruises. The tours provided at each port call were informative, accurate and the buses used were clean and well-maintained with VIKING CRUISES plainly painted on the sides and front of the buses, which makes it much easier to find when prowling to lots after a tour to re-board. Check-out in Amsterdam was easy and ground transport was arranged to our hotel of choice by the concierge on the ship.
