My husband and I drove 10 hours, yes 10 hours from Georgia to Miami the night before the cruise and decided we would stay at a hotel once we get there. Make sure you make a reservation somewhere before you get there. We were in for a bit of price shock when we arrived to Miami and started calling hotels. After driving around in circles for an hour we finally found a decent hotel with a decent price about 10 minutes away. This was our second time sailing with Majesty so we already knew what to expect for the embarkation process. We got the port about 10 am and sat at the chairs provided until they were ready to start boarding people. People have a tendecy to jump in line when they see the rope move so my husband and I decided to stay back a minute. What new people don't know is that once you get passed the metal detectors there are so many clerks available there is no need to rush. We got on the ship about 5 minutes after they opened the metal detectors. It was pretty painless. The Majesty of the Seas is an older ship but still looks good. The staff is always friendly and is always willing to help. Once we got on the ship we made our way to the Windjammer to get some food and watch the people board the ship. My husband and I love to people watch. They had a few things to do before the rooms were ready and we take advantage of all of them. We took a tour of the spa and gym and any other tour they were giving to keep us busy until the rooms our ready. The first time we came on MJS we reserved on oceanview room and although we liked it we were never in the room during the daytime hours. This time we decided to give an interior room a try. We were not disappointed. Although the room was small it wasn't that different than the oceanview room. We decided that whenver we do sail we will save the money and get the interior room. We can spend the money we saved on the drinks :) . The food on the MJS is a typical buffet food nothing too fancy but good. Last time we sailed we bought the soda package and although we appreciated the ability to get soda anytime we wanted we didn't really need the soda. This time we stuck with the lemonaid and water that was provided and were satisfied. My only complaint was the lemonaide was a little too tart for me so I would use half lemonaide and half water and it was perfect. We chose the early dining because 8:30 is too late for me too eat. My husband and I enjoyed the food and had a good time meeting my table mates.Cococay is wonderful. We woke up around 7 am and went and had breakfast at the windjammer and then went to get on the boat to Cococay. Cococay is a private island owned by RCI and is well kept. We didn't buy any excursions and we saw the sign for the nature walk and decided to do that. This is free. We walked the trail and saw the native plants and descriptions RCI put up for us. It was beautiful. After we walked the nature walk we found a remote beach with no one around my husband and I stayed there the rest of the afternoon with no one around us. We did a little shopping and found the prices cheaper at Cocokay straw market cheaper than at Nassau.Nassau, Bahamas. We woke up early again but I don't recommend it. The staff had everyone wait on level 2 and it got really crowded. Next time I'll sleep in and wait for the crowds to thin out. We didn't book any excursions instead I printed a copy of the walking tour from Frommers and we went for a walk. We had a great time. We saw the Queens Staircase which is a must for anyone visting Nassau. It was breathtaking. We got a little lost a couple times and some locals were nice enough to give us some directions. We went to the Pirates Museum ($12) and it was cute. My sons would have loved it. After the walking tour we caught the number 10 jitney which is their bus $1.25 per person and went Arawak Cay/Fish Fry and ate Twin Brothers Rest. The price was high, the waitress was rude but the food was awsome. I don't think I will eat at Twin Brothers again but I will try one of the other resteraunts nearby. After we ate we caught a cab back to the ship. Warning make sure that cab is a van, we had some people try to get us and some other tourist to get in a car saying it was a cab. My husband was immediatly suspicious and an employee of one the resteraunts came out yelling that they were not cab drivers. We found a cab ($4 per person) and he took us around a little and told us some of his personal stories. We liked him alot so we gave him a good tip.To wrap up this is a great cruise. We took advantage of everything the ship had to offer. We went to all the shows. I got a deep tissue massage, we won some money at the casino. We watched people sing karaoke at Boleros and had some awsome drinks. Try the pina colada yummy! If you take advantage of the ship you will have a great time. We will be trying a different ship the next time we cruise only because the MOJ only goes to the bahamas and we want to see something different. The Majesty of the Seas is my first ship and will always be my favorite.

Cabin Review

We had an interior room cabin. They pushed the two twin beds together and it was enough for us. The bathrooms are tiny. Closets are small but adequate. Hang up your clothes when you arrive and put your suitcases under your bed. This will give you enough room to walk around. The hallways are small but you don't spend too much time the hallway so it doesn't matter. I could not hear anyone around me so for us it was perfect.
