Sail Date: Aug 2016

Our flight arrangements were taken care of by Viking from out of Toronto to Amstrerdam and the cost of the flight was very low. We arrived in Amsterdam earlier than our river cruise departure date, so we had a few days to explore the city and relax after the long flight from Canada.

Getting aboard the river cruise was very easy and comfortable as the staff welcomed us and took our luggage on board. The cabin was on the main level just a wee smaller than the river cruise cabin we experienced in China with another company, but everything was new. Our cruiser began its life in April of 2016 so you know everything was working when we got on board. The dining was so enjoyable lots of variety and and plenty to go around , please note if your on a diet too bad.

Entertainment came from different sources and different cities, from local singers at the ports we stopped or local experts on the a variety of subjects. Our staff kept the room in top shape and our excurisons were very interesting. We are seniors and do travel on at least three trips per year. Our children are grown and they have children, however we had not travelled with them on this occasion. This would have been our third river cruise and we have enjoyed each and every one of them and would certaining consider traveling this way again in the near future.
