We chose Viking Ocean because the previous year we had traveled on a Viking River Cruise in Europe. We found the customer service, amenities and excursions superior to any ocean cruise we had been on so were curious to see how Viking Ocean compared to the river cruise and other ocean cruise lines (we have been on numerous NCL cruises). We were delighted to discover all the things we loved about the river cruise were also found on the Viking Ocean ship. Again, customer service was beyond belief. The ship was a thing of beauty. Our stateroom was superior. The amenities were very nice, it seems silly but we loved the ability to do laundry since it was a long cruise. We did very much enjoy the smaller ship experience, 930 passengers compared to 2000 - 2500 passengers on our previous cruises. I would highly recommend Viking Ocean and can hardly wait for our next Viking cruise.

Cabin Review

Cabin ps penthouse junior suite

The cabin was 405 square feet. The interior decorating was very beautiful and restful. We appreciated that there plenty of space to walk between the bed and the desk, even if the chair was in use. The sitting area was comfortable and had it's own large screen TV. The bathroom with the heated floor was my favorite. The organization in the bathroom is better than any other ship we have cruised. The shower is spacious, the two sinks were nice and the was plenty of counter, shelf and drawer space. Why aren't all stateroom bathrooms like this? The safe was at a nice level, the closet and drawer space were terrific, we didn't use it all!
