We chose this as our first cruise because we wanted to see the particular sites along the Rhine River. We were greeted by name as we boarded. With only about 188 passengers on the cruise, the staff knew us by name and were friendly, professional and courteous. When my daughter had a problem that required medical care, the staff ordered a taxi, escorted her to it, and gave the driver directions where to go. The meals were excellent. The excursions (both those included and those that were extra) were excellent, as well. The ship was immaculate, and we were provided with a wheel house tour - an incredible ship. Travel was smooth on the River. Our staterooms were very comfortable, modern, and kept immaculate by the staff. I VERY HIGHLY recommend Viking for any river cruise you wish to take. While the entire crew and staff were attentive, we would like to give special kudos to our cruise director, Nick Hale, who made this cruise the best we might ever hope for.
