This cruise was our first and it met every expectation. The room was well designed to maximize the available space, and the heated mirror in the bath is just an example of the thought that went into designing the room. The staff was universally friendly and accommodating. The food in the dining room was consistently above average, at every meal...it took me a couple of days to realize that I didn't need to try everything at every meal. (Pace yourself:) The tours were all interesting, the wine at the different sites was very good and reasonably priced. Learned a great deal about Bordeaux wine, I'm not afraid to order it in a restaurant anymore. The port calls to the various towns along the river haven't changed in several hundred years, but are livable in today's world.

We're starting to plan another trip for 2018. On Viking, probably another river cruise.

Veranda Suite

Cabin AA

Cozy but well designed for comfort. I'm glad we had the balcony to add some external space. Except the temp was +90 degrees F during much of the trip.
