Our grandson just turned 12 years old and we figured that he was getting to the age where he wouldn't want to be in a cabin with us much longer, so we splurged and took him on this cruise. It was a wonderful experience. Great crew, lots of fun for all of us. The kids spent lots of time in the pool even when the temp was not ideal. Alaska is great. If you get a chance to take this cruise during the spring/summer, pack for both heat and cold. The temps were in the 80's in some ports!
The food was very good. Unfortunately, many of the restaurants charged a surcharge, which got rather expensive after a few days. The sushi bar was great and we splurged on that.
Our cabin stewards were not as good as the ones we had experienced on previous NCL cruises. We had to ask for towels on many occasions and often didn't get our daily "newsletter".
The ship is new and it is very nice. The jogging deck is rather small, but the gym is nice. Unfortunately, unless you paid to take a class, you couldn't get into the classroom for stretching or yoga most of the time because they were holding other "events" in there.
Overall, it was a good cruise and a wonderful experience seeing all of the glaciers!
