We really have but a few complaints and many praises for this cruise. My fiancé and I boarded the ship in Miami with no problems or delays. Once aboard, beverages were plentiful and we had plenty of assistance finding our way around the ship. Our luggage was promised to arrive by 2:00 p.m., and it did. We did not see much of our cabin steward Mary, however, our room was always in order. Loved the elaborate towel animals on our bed each night.
We caught some really great shows, most notably the ice show, which was amazing! Also loved Finis Henderson, a true Vegas entertainer who featured singing, dancing, impressions, and did not disappoint. Plenty of trivia games during the day, lots of live music, bartenders and servers were top notch. We even learned to salsa dance while on board! Fitness area is fantastic and well-equipped with gorgeous views while on the treadmill.
Unfortunately the food was a real disappointment. Believe the other reviews you read here. I truly don't want to complain about my cruise, but the Windjammer Café was for the most part bland and not good quality. The pizza was inedible. If the food can't be festive, it should at least be decently prepared. There are not near enough dining tables for the volume of passengers and you fear for your life darting back and forth from the food bars in the utter chaos. The main dining hall was far less chaotic, but the food was average wedding quality at best. The bland meals drove my partner and I to the specialty restaurants which I suspect was the idea all along. Specialty restaurants were very good, but at a price. There is but one other "free" restaurant onboard, Deck 5, (the only one open 24 hrs) which served very small, dried up danish and breads, the quality of any run of the mill grocery store.
We loved the cabin -- clean, roomy, absolutely adored our balcony!!
