We chose this cruise because of the stops in the Sea of Cortez, Loreto and La Paz. We have been to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta before. Loreto is a small town of about 14 thousand that gets a large part of its income from tourists, mostly fishermen. They reportedly get one cruise ship a week and I am sure it helps the local economy a lot. La Paz is much larger, over 200,000 people. Enjoyed the Malecon, had some great fresh oysters there, along with some really good fish tacos. Cabo and Puerto Vallarta are large and primarily tourist oriented. We enjoy walking the Malecon in PV.

The ship was fine, the shows were pretty good. The buffet food was unimaginative and so were most of the meals in "anytime" dining. No lobster night, butter hand served to conserve money I suppose. No theme meals to celebrate the mexican experience. We did enjoy the SHARE restaurant. Food was good, but not sure it was worth the $39 up charge. They converted the Sabatini's space to accomodate this new menu. The upcharge was less at Sabatini's, but I am sure that didn't have anything to do with the change. Ruby and Emerald are the only two ships in the fleet with this new venue.

Showing some wear and tear. The sofa, sleeper cushions were worn and kept slipping off the sofa.
