We booked this cruise as we wanted to get some January sun, see some cities in the Middle East and as we had cruised on MSC Divina previously and enjoyed it. We also found this cruise to be good value especially with the fly-cruise option.

Overall we really enjoyed the cruise. MSC Fantasia was very similar to MSC Divina and we could very quickly find our way around this large ship. Balcony cabin was spacious and well worth paying extra for the balcony to sit out and to watch the docking/sail aways from our room.

We booked our flights/transfers through MSC which was both positive and negative. It was cheaper and very convenient, however it meant that the flight times were less desirable (flying to Dubai through the night and disembarking the ship at 2.30am!!) and we, along with the rest of the passengers booked through MSC were not seated with our partners/friends on the flight home from Dubai which was very frustrating. When we arrived in Dubai we were exhausted but our room was ready early so we could get some sleep which was nice!

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

Cabin was great size, mid ship and balcony never in shade and not obstructed. Close to main lift with no noise from lift, however it is close to luggage storage room and this was very noisy on embarkation/disembarkation days AND nights (Dubai and Abu Dhabi).

Would book a similar cabin again but not this cabin due to the noise.

Port Reviews

Abu Dhabi

We visited the Grand Mosque which was just stunning - free tours at 10 and 11am. Dress code is very strict so check this before you go but they will lend you suitable clothing.
