Do NOT take a cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas!! My daughter and I recently returned from the most disappointing cruise of our lives on this ship, to the point that we actually were bonding with fellow passengers over how miserable the cruise was (two different families that had each been on over 25 cruises also said this was hands down their least favorite cruise ever)!

Here are just a few of the most common (and noticeable) complaints people had:

1. Disgustingly dirty and unkempt ship: As you’ll see from some of the photos below, the ship was disgusting and dilapidated. It is due to be dry docked next November, but until then, guests are going to be incredibly disappointed with the condition of the ship. When we first arrived in our cabin, a used bar of soap was still on the floor, and there was mold/mildew all over the floor and door of the shower. The room also reeked of body odor (think gym locker room, but worse!). The filter to our cabin’s air conditioning also hadn’t been changed in such a long time that large chunks of the filter itself (and surrounding dust) were accumulating in the room. Our mirrors also weren’t cleaned on a consistent basis, and there were noticeable fingerprints left on the door handles from before we boarded.
