We chose Holland America as were impressed with their publicity and thought we would like a little luxury as the cruise lasted for 24 days.
Embarkation was the first disappointment as we were not given any cabin number unitl we booked in due to us paying extra for a balcony suite. We were also told that we would have to take our own luggage aboard and were not even assisted when onboard.
The cabin was a good size however the drains on the balcony appeared to be blocked which caused the balcony to flood during rain and in a reasonable swell. Although notified of the problem they tried to rectify the matter once and then ignored it completely.

Verandah Suite
Cabin was a reasonable size with good storage and a comfortable bed. Bathroom also a good size with a shower over the bath.
Generally room was a little tired but cabin stewards were excellent and kept it very clean and tidy
