Just returned from 14 nights on TUI Discovery. Ship was very nice, as was cabin, even although it was inside. Plenty of storage and good lighting and facilities. Cabin Stewards were very good too. We found all staff pleasant, well mannered and helpful and as we tended to go into the restaurants quite early, found the service to be of a good level. People were complaining about slow service when they arrived at the restaurant around 8.00 p.m.

Now for the downsides. This was our 9th cruise and our 6th cruise with Thomson. Never have we been on such a rabbly oisy ship; never have we seen so much boozing, starting from 10.00 a.m. in the morning! The main deck was bedlam, with constant announcements and shouting over microphones, even when almost everyone was on shore! Music constantly blaring out in almost every part of the ship. The sunbeds were the cheapest most uncomfortable beds we have ever had the misfortune to lie on and jammed together like sardines. Entertainment was sporadic and repetitive, probably the worst ever on a Thomson ship which used to be noted for their entertainment.

We found the food all to be very fresh and the waiter service breakfast and lunches were very good, with excellent service. However, we found the main meal in the evening to be very much a "hit or a miss" with processed, or tinned meat, being served as beef, duck and venison. They all looked and tasted the same and we found most of the main meals to be bland and tasteless. The soups, starters and desserts were all very good.
