This was my wife and I's 4th cruise on Carnival and it generally met our expectations, but I have a few comments for other cruisers to consider:
Embark/Disembark:
- In general, travel to and from the port was pretty easy. We hit some light traffic on the way in and were stopped by a train at the port for what seemed like an eternity. We upgraded to suite right before the cruise and the priority embark and disembark were the best perks by far, as this puts you as among the first on and off the ship.
We were offered a reasonable upgrade to the Ocean Suite and accepted. We were impressed with the size of the room and balcony, and due to the rough seas, used the room more than we usually would have. We both agreed we would not have paid anywhere near full price for the suite, but it was a worthwhile one-time experience. The full shower and tub were nice, but the shower has a weird upper soap dish/grab bar that was in the way for a normal shower. A minor inconvenience, but I understand it may be for the benefit of disabled guests.
