Have cruised at least once a year for many years...always on NCL...this one was a big disappointment. Cruise ship was moored miles from the normal port while all other lines were moored right at the free shuttle service for the historic district. We spent a week in San Juan and a lot of time in that district so it was more than a one time thing. The baggage check in was a nightmare and we kept being told that they had never done a cruise line at this location before...then they wouldn't let us enter the building and we stood for a long time in the heat waiting for them to finally open the doors. After all that there was not even water inside for passengers who were not VIP status (Platinum doesn't count).

The featured entertainer (who was very good) was scheduled for the last night aboard so the theater was almost empty (everyone was busy packing and getting ready for getting that luggage out at midnight. Incidentally no one ever announced that bags had to be outside by midnight so we saw a lot of people struggling with luggage at breakfast. One a family with 3 small children struggling with their bags...no one on the crew stepped forward to help them. We finally offered to help them get their bags off the ship... seasoned travelers knew the drill but first timers did not.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment of all though was the ultimate dining experience. We had purchased the package but were only able to get reservations for the premium restaurants one time...then we were told that it didn't cover the premium meals in the "free" restaurants. Yes, for the first time there were premium meals that cost $24.95 in the regular restaurant but...no matter the reason..ultimate dining did not cover. No sense getting angry.
