We chose this cruise because the port is only a 20 minute drive from home. I was traveling with my parents who are in there early 80's. So we booked a suite that would comfortably accommodate three of us, and we had a balcony to enjoy.
The room was nice, and well cared for, but when we asked for assistance or advice on getting my folks around the ship, we got a lot of incorrect advice and information.
We enjoyed the restaurant food, but the Jubilee maitre de (007) in the dining room insisted upon what he called a "show" every evening which consisted of badly chosen blasting canned music and the wait staff uncomfortably "dancing". We loved our dining room wait staff, and appreciate that they work very hard, and we felt that they were needed more serving the tables and not ignoring the tables while they were performing. Most evenings we and many other diners didn't want to stay for the "show", and many left their dinners or desserts unfinished on the table. The only saving grace was the talented waiter who sang great versions of many golden oldies. He should be the only dining room "show"!
For the price paid for a suite, we were disappointed in any special assistance and help asked for. I was traveling with my elderly parents, and I feel that the lack of help severely effected their whole experience.
