We were in concierge class so we were on board a few moments after we were checked in around 10:30. From that point the lunch in main dining room opened at 11:30 so we checked out the many levels of the ship. I have to say, as my first time on Celebrity, it was the most beautiful ship I have ever been on. Lunch at 11:30 was limited but good and if you don't care for it, you can always venture to the buffet.

By the time lunch was finished and we explored just a bit more, the rooms were ready. Our rooms were adjoining 2147 & 2149, Ben made quick work of opening balcony. Balcony is about the same as Holland but so much larger than Carnival or NCL. We did get a bottle of wine/champagne, what I know now is that we could have asked for it later in the cruise. We should have opted for that. Also, they cleared the mini bar and brought different pillows I requested. Canapes were ok, we did get them every day, but sometimes were a hit and othertimes not so much. I have to say if you went hungry on this cruise you didn't look hard enough. Only did the buffet once for lunch and never for breakfast or dinner but the food was varied for lunch. Also, whatever the ice cream is in the main dining will be what the buffet has next day. The gelato was yummy with fresh made waffle cones. It was an upsell at a few bucks but totally worth it.

The coffee bar was a huge hit for us. My sister had the premium nonalcohol package and was a total coffee junkee. Even my hubby who isn't normally a foofoo coffee kind of guy jumped in the game. We did not eat any speciality as we normally find something we like in main dining. We did burger/hotdog at the Mast Grill and it was yummy in my book. Also did the smoothy bar in the food area in the indoor pool, a lot of different options for smoothy and food.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

I do not recommend this cabin. For that matter, I wouldn't recommend this entire floor. The positive is that it's down from the pool and just below the buffet for a quick snack/drink. The HUGE negative is that the buffet is right above you and it is VERY noisy. This is the only reason I would not recommend. If you sleep like the dead, you might be fine, but even when the buffet is closed staff is rolling carts around and there is a lot of noise. Also, you are far up from the main dining, showroom, and other amenities so there was a lot of stairs and as usual on a cruise, elevators full at peak times. Bathroom I thought was spacious and you can ask for extra hangers. There is not a lot of drawer space as others have mentioned but I will take a larger balcony over room space any day. Plus, they have sliders for the balcony so those of us who love to nap and listen to the water are in heaven at not having to prop door.

Cozumel

Just shopping in main area. Was ok, nothing great, nothing bad.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Organized chaos.
