Not sure if this is an American phenomenon, but if I pay for an all inclusive vacation, and spend a fair amount of money for me and my family, I would expect that the price of the drinks and wine in the bars and restaurants, is the price you pay. Well, for this cruise, an additional 18% was added as service charge on EVERYTHING we drank. Based on the already high price for drinks and wine, I would expect the service charge to be included. If the margin they have on the alcohol doesn't include the service, I would say that the procurement department at RCL have made some very bad deals.

Positive parts with this cruise was the shows. All of the shows we went to, was way better than on any of our previous cruises. Mamma Mia, Aqua show, Greg London and the comedy show was fantastic.

Food and Service in American Icon was also really great. Had some lunch and evening dinner at Windjamer, and that was ok. It is a buffe, so not the same quality as an alacarte restaurant. Snacks like sallads, and various warm sandwiches at Park Cafe was also tasteful.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Not so much to say about the cabin. Same class and standard as the other cruises we been on.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Just be there in time since security control and huge amount of people make it time consuming.
