Ship design is just ok, not wow by any means. Atrium is smaller, rooms are def smaller. Layout is a little confusing because of the Imax I think. Sky ride was cool but wait was 90 minutes to 2 hours. They could have used a couple more bikes up there to speed it along, plus was closed on last sea day so only 3 of us in a group of 25 were able to do it.
My biggest disappointment was the customer service, which we feel has been continually declining. They kept calling this their Flag Ship but you wouldn't know it by the service. Not the friendly out going staff of cruises past. The dining room is really declining. Food quality was horrible, grizzly tough meat, mushy lobster, etc. The wait staff didn't check back once food was dropped and dinner service took forever. Both times we went the lights came on before we were done eating We only went to main dining room 2 nights and then gave up. Also all the restaurants kept the same hours as smaller ships even though this had an extra 1000 capacity, so getting food without long lines was difficult. I will never understand why the only thing to eat between 3 and 5 is pizza. When everyone comes in from port and wants to eat, very little options. And again, if you have a thousand person more capacity, you should provide for that. Even the Seafood shack which was a pay restaurant took forever, 40 minutes for fish and chips and lobster.
Embarkation was a bit different, keys were in the mailbox, but we were super confused on how it worked and no one explained anything. Disembarkation was a Hot Mess, they were letting the people without luggage go at the same time that the walk offs were going and as per usual, when the cruise is over, you are a second class citizen! Def wouldn't sail this ship again!
Smaller, other than that, average.
