Our cabin had the best shower of any cruise ship we have ever traveled on.
The itinerary was great.
During embarkation, our cabin cards were printed and given to my parents, who have the same last name. My wife and I were not even at the port yet. How, in this day of increased security, is that even possible? Then we were given somebody else's cards and we walked away before noticing it. The agent chased us down and exchanged them immediately.
New port for us. We taxied to Puerto Plata and had a good shopping day for wood products and prescription meds. The town square was historic and typical of Caribbean cities that were established by Spain.
This is my favorite Netherlands Antilles port. I enjoyed drinking the Amstel Bright, buying Cuban cigars and taking fresh bananas back onboard. There is a fantastic Cigar Lounge near the ship.
Easy to disembark...of course it was Wednesday and we were the only cruise ship in port.
We made this a beach day.
Shopping and Margaritaville.
We walked the streets on a rare rainy day.
Nice time walking and visiting the Archeological Museum.
