We looked forward to this cruise for over 2 years after having to cancel the same cruise in 2015 3 days before travel due to an unforseen hospital admittance. Our embarkation at LA and the first couple of days were good, but then it went downhill. The water was switched off to our cabin overnight without any warning and when we woke up our toilet was full to the top. It was fixed after ringing passenger services but then a few days later we had a letter telling us the water would be off from midnight till 5am. I woke at about 6am to the sound of running water and our bathroom was flooded from the toilet, I flushed it and it stopped flooding but we had to get it sorted from the flood which was contained inside the room. However after going back to bed shortly after we heard running water again and it was gushing out of the rear of the toilet and into the room. The plumber had to turn off the water in the corridor and told us to go to breakfast whilst they sorted out the flooded room.

We came up about midday and the room had been mopped up and there was a large drier working to dry the room. We didn't gain access to our room until after 2pm, this is without being able to even wash our faces or clean our teeth. We received no apology whatsoever until we went down to Passenger services the following day and were told we were the least affected on our floor Aloha. The manager said she had been up to our cabin but we were not there!!!!!! but she never left any note or telephone message. We later heard that there were over 14 cabins affected that night and that decks 5 and 7 were also affected later in the cruise. Even on the day we were disembarking 4th Jan, the captain announced that there was a major leak which was affecting the lighting. What is wrong when these sort of problems are not sorted between cruises? As some other members stated there was a smell of sewerage onboard on a number of days.

We were also disappointed regarding the variety of the food choices. They may be OK if you are only on a short cruise, but a 7 day recurring menu is poor and gets boring. The entertainment was also boring and the theatre was full one most days half an hour before the starting time. Need to have three shows a night to cope. Most of the other daily things were money making seminars for Princess to grab more cash.
