Sail Date: Jan 2017

It was a much smaller ship than others in the fleet, and probably slightly less luxurious. But service by staff met and exceeded our expectations. We were unfortunately met by bad weather at seas which made more than half the guests and many staff sick, but admirably, staff members continued to work without complaining. This also led to an emergency change in cruise itinerary since it was unsafe to dock in costa maya. An extra day on the rough seas did not go down well with my already sick stomach. The staff made temendous efforts to compensate with fun on-board activities for those who were well enough to participate. The dining experience as always, was outstanding, as was the evening and daily entertainment activities. We signed up for a behind the scenes tour of the ship which was quite interesting and I would recommend to others.

While this has certainly not been my best cruise experience yet, I would certainly continue to cruise for years to come (although I would probably wait a while until my queasy stomach calms down a bit...)

Cabin Review

Cabin inside

not the best place to be during bad weather. cabin is located to the front of the ship and is subject to all the movements from high waves and wind. was seasick for two and a half days, puking non-stop. learned later on that midship cabins tend to be better (more stable) for those prone to seasickness. however, apart from the unforseen weather circumstances, the cabin condition and service was outstanding.
