Having cruised many many times on various ships, from 650 passengers up to 4000. We were beginning to find places to visit hard, as we love the heat in December, we looked once again for Caribbean cruises, kept checking various itineraries, the Thomson discovery came up with 2 sea days, and 12 islands, and thought ok let's check cruise critic, very mixed reviews so we thought we would give it a go, my partner wasn't to keen, after reading a review titled Butlins at sea, we both laughed, but I'm afraid the last laugh was on us, as my title says it's all.
Flight from Gatwick on the Dreamliner was great, had row 1 in premium class, looked after very well by Karen and Geoffrey, great team, good flight, didn't have to go through airport in Barbados, onto shuttle bus to ship, luggage arrived within the 2 hours slot, so happy to roam around and get our bearings.
Atrium was very bland, not a lot of seats, not that we sat inside, can't see the point of staying inside with the beautiful sun outside, but each to their own.walking around we discovered very bland decor, shabby carpet, no artwork anywhere only in the stairways, never seen this on other ships, also a very small casino, most of this area has been turned into the live bar, then went up to pool area, what an experience that was, shocking cheap nasty sun beds, and packed so close together no privacy,no towel station had to leave them in your room, and if lost or taken they wanted £10.00 they must be joking, I clean my floors with better quality then they expect you to lie on , also deck area very unkept.
