Our family (including our 2 children in 20's) decided on a Christmas cruise for 2016. Although the wind was terrible, the sun was glorious and the trip was amazing!

This is our second cruise on the Conquest. It may be a little older now, but everything looked great... no issues with anything in our cabin or in the dining rooms. Does it compare equal to a "luxury" cruise - no. But it's not advertised as a luxury cruise. However, we didn't see, smell or experience anything that seemed to support some of the negative reviews we read prior to our cruise.

Although a cruise friend had terrible experience in the dining room, our service team was fabulous and went above and beyond to make it special for us! Burgers, fries and omelets were daytime favorites and the "port specials" lured us in each evening in the dining room.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8B

Our balcony cabins #7411 & 7423 were what we expected. The rooms were warmer than we like... we were fairly hot at night. My son was uncomfortably hot.

Beds were reasonably comfortable. The bedding was light weight and kept us comfortable. We were disappointed that the cabin stewards only service the rooms 1x daily now instead of twice. You come in from excursions with wet pool towels and have to make a trip the pool area to get new ones. I miss that little "extra" touch.

There is only 1 outlet at the makeup/desk area. I believe other ships have (had) some near bed.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

There is literally NOTHING to do on the island except sit on the beach and we LOVED IT!!! NO need to purchase the "private" beach options. Just walk to the right from port pier and find your own spot on the lovely beach. Drinks & food (food is $$$) available at the small bar, public bathrooms clean. Decent beach chairs and even cabana type umbrellas available for public use.

Wear water-shoes as this is a rocky entry into the water. Once in it's beautiful!!

San Juan

We walked Old Town... very picturesque and lovely. Had lunch at a fabulous burger place that ranks as the 5th best burgers in US. They offered local fare too.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Did not take excursion here... have taken water taxis to get around in past and that was fun!
