I'll keep this short and sweet: There is something for everyone on Independence of the Seas. My parents and sister came down as a family cruise and to meet my boyfriend for the first time. What better way than to go on vacay without having to be together 24/7.

I loved the ship. Independence has just enough space, tons of activities and programs, and was clean and fun. The gym was AWESOME. Giovanni's Table was amazing an worth the price (would have liked a couple traditional Italian dishes on the dinner menu though). Staff was fabulous -- especially our cabins steward (a lady) from Guyana.

Some room for improvement:
