This was our 31st cruise, fourth on NCL and was average at best. The craziest thing we have ever seen is the cabin setup. I'm sure you have seen this in other EPIC reviews but the bathroom is split up into three different areas. Food was better than the other NCL ships we were on and the service was spotty. One tip: make sure you go over your bill when you receive it. There were a lot of complaints about discrepancies and we were one of them. Ours had to do with the on board credit we had. They didn't apply the purchases we made to the credit. It took three people from the service desk to understand where the mistake was made. Another problem is that if you have on board credit from the casino for food and drinks, only the casino sees that, not the people who are at the Service Desk.

Embarkation:

Check in was a breeze but the sitting area was chaotic. NCL should take a lesson from Royal Caribbean in that you are seated in section designated by the level you are in their. For example, the level you are in in Latitudes. RCL seats you in the order you arrived. NCL people were all over the place and when your level was called, the people who just arrived got on the ship before the people who were sitting for a long time. They need to be better organized.

Cabin BD

Cabin was setup in a way we have never seen. The bathroom was split up into three different sections. The shower and toilet were by the cabin entrance door with just a glass door on each. When you step out of the shower you are standing right by the door. The sink was at the foot of the bed. The space between the vanity and bed was about two feet so if someone was sitting there you couldn't get by without going on the bed. There was plenty of storage room for clothes. TIP: If your cabin has a sofa, check under the sofa for drawers, that's where we stored the life jackets and a few other things. Our cabin steward Wayne was excellent. Very friendly, efficient and accommodating.
