We typically do smaller ships, but I have done Norwegian on a big ship. Our expectations were not high, but we wanted to see what a big ship was like so we did the 4 night cruise from Tampa to Cozumel. Guess it is true that all short cruises are basically just booze cruises and party locations. There were a few bachelorette and bachelor party groups on that were partying the whole time. There were also many who likely chose it for the price point and they were there to party. I don't know if I would do them again for a short cruise. We talked to many that said it is a better ship for a longer cruise because of the clientele. I could see that being true.

The ship was a nice layout. It was definitely worn and is due for an update. The beds and pillows were not very comfortable. The towels were thin and obviously had been around a long time. The entire ship could use a good cleaning. The staff were all nice and helpful. We did not hear one positive thing about the buffet, main dining room or Rita's Cantina. We read poor reviews on the "free" food before we left so we did specialty dining each night at Izumi x2, Chops and Giovanni's. Izumi and Chops were both really good. The steaks at Chops rival the expensive steakhouses we have visited over the years. Giovanni's was good, but not the best Italian food.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Very worn. Sheets and towels are due to be replaces as you can tell they have been around a very long time. Furniture was sagging and very worn as well. The veranda and furniture there was decent. TV and programming was good.
