We chose this cruise simply because it was going to Santiago in Chile were we would be spending Christmas. Having said that the ports of call were excellent. I especially liked the Falklands and would recommend the Penguin tour . I booked direct with a tour operator based on the Falklands and this was half the price of the cruise ship tour.
The ship itself looked tired in areas and in need of a refurbishment. We were in cabin 7076 VISTA SUITE. The cabin itself was a good size and comfortable. The Bathroom was in need of upgrading. we had a Jacuzzi but on inspection I would not have used it. There was staining on the tiles which was from condensation. Our Cabin Stewards were excellent.
The food in the Lido restaurant and the main dinning room was of good quality with plenty of choice. Unfortunately the service in both these places was hit and miss. In the Lido Dinning room it took rather a long time for the tables to be sided. Some staff were seen to have a cough. I understand that people can be under weather at times, but to carry on serving food which you have just coughed over is unacceptable. this happened on more than one occasion.one of the things which stuck out was that there seemed to be no one in charge
good size comfortable cabin and bed. The bathrooms could do with an upgrade
