Been on many cruises this was our 1st Christmas and new year which I must say the crew were 1st class making both a special time (ordered wine for Christmas dinner they lost order... then fo new year 5$ increase on each bottle of wine ) not good .. food on board was usual princess quality very good .. staff as per princess were courteous and mostly always cheerful?..... but entertainment was rubbish worst cruise entertainment ever been on .. cruise director and his side kick were brilliant .. others were scuffle look as if they had just fell out of bed .. The shops were well below average some shelves in dutyfree actually empty bought some perfume had to take back "stale" ?old stock the other shops had old stock (was on this ship in may and they were far better. Passengers mostly Australian and were 60%proberly adhered to formal wear others thought shorts and trainers were acceptable and were not approached by crew re entering dining rooms . I have never seen this before . I do know that "casual wear "is more acceptable in Australia and the states but if the liner requests formal wear surely they should try to contain this in the appropriate areas .. so unfortunately princess as as my choice of being my favourite cruise not so
We did 4 excursions although very expensive did enjoy..
If you wanted to spend money on eggy jewellery or art canvases this was the cruise for u as both were pushed down our throats several times a day . Nevertheless we had a great Christmas and new year this we thank princess for. Another niggle we flew from U.K. And booked this in U.K.and found local Australians payed a lot less for same cabin as ours Come on princess get this sorted
