The whole experience was ruined by the constant upselling. Most activities were based on the ship selling something, but not for the enjoyment of the customers. The waiters too, were constantly trying to sell lunches and dinners time and again. We went to the Chef's Table the second night which was very nice, but then found ourselves booked in for other nights which we didn't request.

Nothing was offered on New Year's Eve apart from some music and balloons dropping - very disappointing. We were asked to order champagne early if we wanted it for NYE, otherwise there may not be enough for everybody. We were shown photos of four bottles; one being Moet & Chandon for US$82. My friend commented that it was expensive, considering we could buy it in Sydney for a LOT less. The waiter (this was in the Italian restaurant Giovannis) said that it was more expensive because it is the black label M&C (there are 3 types available: normal, pink & black), so we agreed to buy the bottle for NYE + booked Giovannis for NYE as we were told there would be a special menu.

On NYE there was no special menu apart from a lobster tail added to the normal menu and a glass of champagne. We then asked for our bottle of M&C + they came up with a normal bottle. We explained that we had ordered the black label M&C as what was shown to us + explained as I have mentioned. They said there was no black label M&C on the ship and that all M&C were just normal bottles! This is false advertising and I don't appreciate liars and being taken for a ride which is how we felt. So we cancelled. This experience completely ruined our NYE evening.
