We booked a 4-night cruise on the Silhouette for the winter holiday break. This was our first cruise on Celebrity; we have cruised several times before with Carnival and Royal Caribbean. We flew to FLL the night prior to departure and arrive at port around 11:30am. We had completed our pre-registration online and brought the fast pass paper - embarkation was very quick and painless and we were on the boat before noon.

We had a category 2A vernada cabin on deck 7 - the stateroom was efficient with a comfortable bed, veranda that could comfortably fit 2 chairs and a side table. The bathroom seemed large by cruise ship standards and was clean with excellent water pressure in the shower.

We carried on our luggage and had a light lunch at the buffet, then found lounge chairs on the pool deck to wait for our stateroom to be ready. We did not purchase a beverage package prior to departure, and the "sales pitch" of all of the waiters and cocktail servers on the first day was too much. It seems like they get a commission of what they sell and the result is very annoying - we had to tell several waiters "no" 4 or 5 times before they finally stopped trying to up sell a drink package and brought the drinks we had ordered.

Smooth embarkation. Long taxi line coming home.
