We sailed out of Honolulu on the Pride of ALoha on 7/4/04. The ship was beautiful and our rooms satisfactory. The service was slow.
We ran out of food, drinks, condiments, milk cream, ice tea, toast in the morning. The lines in the buffet where terrible, no seating once you got your food from the buffet. (free style is for the birds.) The menu never changed, it was the same for 7 days. We paid top money for this cruise. Not only that but when we got our final bill they added on their own gratuities which for us was $45.00 per day roughly $350.00 plus tax which they told us was a madatory charge.
The tours are way over priced. In the two restuarants on the cruise you waited 45 mins to an hour to be seated and then it took them 2 to 3 hours to serve you lunch or dinner. People were violent about all of this. The islands are great BUT this cruise really is not about service, food or hospitality.
