We were excited to return to the Summit and do the Blues Cruise again. It was like night and day. Musicians were awesome, fellow cruisers a blast. No problem there. But, the service was horrible. Except for Nehemiah at the Pool Bar- he was tremendous. We had Aqua Class, the same as the last cruise in 2012. The Blue Restaurant was fine. The Italian - forget it! Do not go, worst food and even worse service. Worst service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. Literally. Buffet - forget it! Gross, except for the fresh fruit.

Our room steward was nonexistent. We never saw him but a couple of times. The late afternoon "snacks" were ridiculous - 4 raisins and 8 potato chips? Five requests for a cup of tea and never got it. Although I got the hot water once - no tea bag, just water.

The ship has deteriorated - rust everywhere. Scratchy towels, and we never used the "plush" bathrobes as they had been washed far too many times. The couch in our cabin was filthy and falling apart (you could see inside it!). Curtains to veranda were tattered and frayed and didn't open or close properly. Everything in the fridge was warm.. Tried a Heinekin beer...too warm to drink. Left it out with a note and was still charged (even though we had beverage pkg.) Room Service never came through for us. Gave up entirely on that - which was also included with Aqua Class, but became a point of frustration.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Cabin A1

Dismal cabin. Absolutely dismal. We had a good time nevertheless....no choice, stuck on a ship! Please tell corporate to spend a couple of dollars. After four years (since our last cruise - same ship, same cruise)...you expect to see something, anything updated or new. Not old, used, frayed or rusted.

Port Reviews

Barbados

They ran out of food (after standing for twenty five minutes in line, only to be told "try later".

Cruise Planner should have know it was Babados' Independence Day. Roads were closed for parades/celebrations. Even though we left the beach party at 3:10 (a five-ten minute drive)....it took 1 hour and 35 minutes to arrive back at the ship. Almost missed it. 12 people in the van, everyone hot, thirsty and had to go to the bathroom! We literally went in circles passing the same landmarks over and over. Everyone was quite upset, but tried hard to remain in good humor. Almost missed the ship. Party Planner should have known better.
