Royal Caribbean do run nice ships. We've been on a number of their cruises now. Decided to try a Xmas and New Year cruise out of Sydney. All very jolly but considering the premium price we paid for the particular cruise it really wasn't that much different to any of their cruises just endless carols playing.

Explorer of the Seas is a handsome ship. After it's recent makeover though I'd say they need to fire their interior designers and take another look at a ship like Radiance. The decor on Explorer ranges from okay to cheesy, tacky and horrible.

That aside the food was good, the staff excellent and the whole thing run efficiently. You couldn't help but be comfortable and happy. Read more
