We booked a 3 night/2 day New Year cruise from Miami to the Bahamas...and it was fabulous! We were very skeptical reading all the mediocre reviews on this site; and learned last year, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...however, not this time! The boat is smaller but it is immaculately maintained inside. We were in cabin 2568--the lowest and least expensive Large Family Stateroom. And it was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved their bunkbeds which conveniently were out of everyone's way. I'll address the main criticisms we read before embarking:
Grumpy Staff / Bad Attitudes - nope! nowhere. Not a single one. Everyone went out of their way to make our trip great...and to make our kids feel special. Even on the islands the staff were terrific. They make their money from the tips---these staff have zero incentive for being rude to you.
Crowded Windjammer / No food - wrong again! This place had enough capacity and good food for a sold out cruise every single day, especially the first day we boarded. Not a problem getting in there and enjoying a meal.
this cabin is GREAT. it's upgraded, and the location is super--you have no one across the hall from you (it is a service hallway and attendants are super quiet always). The elevators at the front of the ship provide super easy and quick access to the Kids Clubs, Arcades, Windjammer, Pool Decks, and Upper 10th /Suspension Bridge / Bungie Jump deck. Similarly, the mid ship elevator banks took you anywhere conveniently.
