This was our second time on the Anthem of the Seas. We chose this cruise because we love to cruise out of the New York area. The entire cruise staff was turned upside down. We were so happy with all of the improvements in the staff and services. The staff was happy to be on board and the service was great. Last year the staff was very unhappy. A happy staff makes for a great cruise vacation. Once you have bought the cruise, and you know what you will be getting, it is the staff that makes the difference.

Embarkation and Debarkation were quick and easy. The headliners were great, the Royal Caribbean shows of We will rock you and the Gift were good. the performers were fantastic, but the content of the shows was OK. We will Rock you would probably play better to a European audience. I wish that Mamma Mia would switch off the Quantum and come to the Anthem which is stationed in the Untied States. The food was cruise food, some hits and some misses. We felt that the steaks and seafood in the dining room were high quality. Our waiter in Chic was Luka and he supplied excellent service with a smile. Our cabin steward Michael always had a smile.

We are diamond members on Royal Caribbean and were thrilled that children were allowed in the diamond lounge. Our children are also diamond members, and on other ships have been prohibited from entering diamond lounges due to their ages. Additionally, Carol who ran the diamond lounge went out of her way to make all of the guests feel special. The ship features a lot of specialty activities such as trapeze and bumper cars, and IFLY. There are sill issues with getting onto these attractions, due to the number of passengers on board versus the number of slots that are available. This will always be an issue with these kinds of attractions. Embarkations and debarkation at ports was fast and easy, and it is always a great day in Labadee. Great celebrations fro Christmas, Hanukkah and New years Eve. The cabin had extra space for storage above the bed.
