We have been desiring to do a Southern Caribbean cruise for some time. Alliegent Airlines just began service to San Juan for incredibly low prices enabling us to do a Christmas cruise with our two daughters.

Since we have cruised with RCCL before we had Gold Status enabling us to skip the long checkin line. We got our bags within minutes of getting to our cabins. The wife and I had a Deluxe Balcony Cabin and it was very nice. The ship had just undergone a quick abbreviated overhaul and overall looked in good shape.

The Dining Room service was good. We had "Anytime Dining" so we had several different waiters. The food was so-so in comparison to other cruises and the portions seemed small. I ordered a second meal almost every night. The food on our last cruise on Princess was much superior. I noticed while eating lunch at the buffet that many of the items had been on the Main Dining Room menu the night before, and then many other items were on that night's menu in the Main Dining Room. They just took the same foods and "presented" it in a fancy way.
