We booked this cruise for the Morocco / Casablanca part of the itinerery which we did not get due to adverse weather conditions. This of course spoilt the whole cruise as we did not get what we were promised or paid for despite understanding the situation.
Embarkation was well handled if not a bit lengthy but we did get our cabin as soon as we got on board.
We paid extra for a balcony cabin due to my husbands always getting sore throats etc due to the air conditioning. Despite keeping the doors open whenever we were in it, day and night we both went down with it and as the weather was not good was really a waste of money, that and the fact that we kept having to close the doors as we kept getting loads of cigarette smoke and cooking smells wafting in from below us somewhere.
Nice cabin , small balcony, adequate storage space, comfortable beds and very small bathroom but did the job it was designed for but we are small people, I cannot imagine how large people manage.
Our steward was pleasent enough but could do with some more training on how to clean. There were loose flakes of paint on the balcony from day one which could have easily been vacuumed up. rails i wiped down with tissues.Mirrors and windows and picture glass all very dusty and dirty and I went over the shelves etc with tissues to lay the dust. First cruise I have not tipped as we felt that not complaining about him was generous enough.
Courtesy bus very good and enjoyed a walk around the town and a coffee.
Walked into Cadiz, enjoyed the gardens and stopped for a snack in town and free wifi.
Walked into town, very cold, some nice churches and shops etc but nothing special
Walked into town, packed with people, had been there before so nothing new to us. Caught a taxi back to the ship as it was cold and raining.
Very hilly, interesting change as we had not been there before.
Stayed in an hotel the night before. Grand Harbour, nothing very Grand about it.
