Truthfully, I chose this cruise because the dates worked perfectly with my grad-student daughter's schedule. When I told my travel agent that I was an older parent who wanted her creature comforts and yet wanted for my daughter activities appropriate to an active, athletic young woman, she encouraged me to book a room at The Haven. What a great suggestion!

While I found the rest of the ship to be crowded and noisy, the Haven was a true escape on the Escape: we certainly enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and lunch and were treated royally by the wait staff. We ventured outside its private purview to sample the many specialty dining venues and were very pleased by the variety and excellence of the menus. Norwegian has definitely put a lot of effort into providing an exceptionally fine dining experience.

We also made use of the gym which had terrific equipment and I attended Maia's yoga, pilates and stretch and abs classes (too early in the am for the daughter who had just completed an exhausting schedule of exams and papers). We both loved the spa which had gorgeous saunas, salt room and steam room as well as lovely heated beds and gorgeous views. We also indulged in spa treatments which we thought were outstanding. The excursions were exactly what we wanted (snorkeling) and one of the perks of the Haven is the easy on/off the ship for excursions as well as embarkation/disembarkation.
