Self and significant other looking for a holiday cruise close to home. Found the RCCL Anthem out of Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ).

This is my 44th cruise and having started on the SS Norway many years ago, times have changed. Yes the lines have cut back on a lot, and do nickel and dime you at every turn, but this ship sets a new standard.

We had a Spa Junior Suite mid ship on the hump, deck 7. Great suite! Tow bathrooms, one with commode and sink and the other with shower, tub and sink. Makes it easy for two people to get ready in the AM or for dinner. More than enough storage. We had 4 uit cases and a carry on. Had space we did not even move.

Spa Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin SJ

Perfect size for a couple.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Best private island. Been here 6 times and it gets better every time

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

New embarkation system is a little chaotic. Had to wait in Suite express line for a family of 4 to go through security with all their luggage!

San Juan

Been here before. To me a waste of time.

St. Maarten

Better shopping than St. Thomas

St. Thomas

Docked at old ship yard. Prefer Havensight dockage.
