Holland America – Cruise on KONINGSDAM Dec 22nd to Dec 30th 2016
I have been very busy building a house for five years, (-yes doing it myself) and I had not managed a holiday for five years. So I finally decided that I deserved one and booked the above cruise.
My very first cruise experience was on the HA Westerdam and Christmas and it was MAGIC. There was plenty of room in the aisles around food counters, there are were four course set meals, Christmas decorations everywhere, and a good deal of elegantly dressed people at formal dinners. It was elegant and comfortable and – I thought- great value. I remember that there a great many choices of juice at breakfast including – if memory serves me- Prune Juice!

Verandah Stateroom
Crowded and claustrophobic-- I was encouraged to book a verandah-- waste of money-- husband poked his nose out of there twice in a week.
DON"T travel midships on the fourth floor of this boat- you'll never get any sleep! It's above the disco and THAT bangs your floor until 2 am NO MATTER what you say or do!
