My family and I travel a lot- Europe, Asia, Central America, lots of all inclusive travel, etc. This year, we've decided to take a cruise over Christmas with some close family and friends hoping to relax, celebrate and visit new places. Boy, were we disappointed. Here are main issues (I will try to keep this short).

The good: ship was very clean, always saw employees scrubbing and cleaning. Food was OK for the most part (no one got sick at least). Breakfast was exactly the same every day, but there were other options: mexican breakfast burritos, etc. Comedians were very good, we tried to attend all the shows.

The bad and the ugly: customers ARE NOT the main focus with Carnival, the company's goal is to separate you from your money. Water bottle in your room? $3.75. Same water bottle while going on shore? $9.00. Want seafood lunch? Pay extra. Want a more fancy tea with dinner (other than Lipton)? Pay extra.
