We have sailed with RC many times, but had not sailed with them recently. Anthem was a large ship but most of the time the size was not an issue. The size did affect the ability to utilize several of the attractions, which required reservations. We were unable to book those attractions and while waiting in line for an hour or two we could have done it, it isn't how we chose to spend our vacation.
The Cabin was nice (13th floor Oceanview with Smaller Balcony) and well configured. But it is certainly a tight space. Bathroom was also well configured and shower worked nicely but I found the space to feel more cramped than on other cruises we have taken.
While I enjoyed much of the cruise and the ship, I do have a pretty sizable issue with dining. We had "My Time Dining" and had reservations for each night we were not scheduled to dine at a specialty restaurant. Yet the seating at the restaurants was difficult. Each night we seemed to be treated as unexpected, despite the fact we arrived at the time of reservation. And then of the seven nights we dined in the main dining room, four times it did not seem that the runner was able to locate our table, and on three occassions we were seated and then told we had to move (or were told we could not be seated at the assigned table). It was very jumbled and honestly made me wish we hadn't selected My Time. Why does the restaurant staff not know where the tables are -- and why, with the bevy of computers, walkietalkies and runners, does the seating staff look so perplexted when you check in at your designated time. While this ship is new to My Time Dining I understand, RC has been doing this for many years, The food in the main dining rooms was generally edible but less that inspiring --- RC is not a gourmet line and the food served was ok.
The cabin in well stocked with places to store stuff -- we were three in the cabin and it was tight but workable.
Nice trip to Orient Beach -- weather didn't cooperate so well
