Got an excellent price for the three of us in a balcony stateroom, so had to give it a go. Always wanted to try Costa so this seemed like a good opportunity.

Our tickets said borading would commence around 1PM so we arrived at the pier at 11:45 so we could check in and be ready to board and head for the sun beds. Instead we spent the day in the terminal. Doors to terminal opened at 1PM, we were checked in by 2PM and boarding commenced around 3PM. We walked across the gangway at approx. 4PM. We received our boarding numbers at check in, but no numbers were called. Awful start to the week.

Headed directly to the buffet since we were starved. Italian lunch it said, but was very poor. Meat was dry and tough, pasta was overcooked and it was generally barely edible. We got the first sitting for 6:15 and shared a table with two Danes for the rest of the week. We were five people at a table for eight. That is nice isnt it? We tried to get our own table for Christmas dinner but that wasn’t possible, even though we saw lots of table free.

Cabin Review

Balcony Classic

Cabin BC

Large cabin even with an extra bed. Very comfortable beds. Lots of sockets. Awful choice of colours of the bathroom. Draining were very poor. Lots of dust in certain areas.
