This was our first cruise on a :giganto-sized" ship. After 2 days, wife & I thought it would be our last......just too many people for our taste. One needs to make a reservation for nearly everything, and make them early. At the pool, the water slides are fun and I presume the ropes course is as well. I got on the slides during down times, but often the lines are too long. Never made it to the ropes course because each time I tried there was a minimum 45 minute wait.
But as the cruise went on we "discovered" things we enjoyed. We don't cruise to eat, but nevertheless we thought the food was better than other ships - we are loyal NCL cruisers.
Entertainment was also better, and of course on a ship this size there are more entertainment choices. We went to the Comedy Club twice, and dueling Pianos twice. The Theater shows - Cotton Club and For the Record were likewise great. A major downside, for us, was the strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from the casino. The casino is mid-ship, on deck 7. But the smell was strong and unmistakeable even on Decks 8 and 6; walking from dinner to one of the entertainment functions .meant inhaling that second hand smoke.
Small (too small from perspective of my wife) but no complaints from me.
