We enjoyed spending the Christmas holiday aboard the Regal Princess. In the past we have cruised during the winter, fall, spring and summer but we had never taken a holiday cruise before. There were two from which to choose. The Christmas and the New Year. I am sorry that we did not do both! There were some on board ship who did. The ship was outfitted for the season and holiday music and themes were everywhere. Both Christmas and Hannaka were observed on board the ship. There were more families with children and youth than usual on a winter cruise. The family atmosphere had both its advantages and disadvantages, but for us we enjoyed the age diversity and the enthusiasm of little children experiencing the holidays. Because of the holiday the length and the port calls were out of the ordinary. We were glad there was a laundry room on our deck although on the "at sea" day all washers and dryers were used continuously We will do the holiday cruise again!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin DB

The cabin was great. The extra space and the sofa inculded were advantages. The bathroom was standard cruise ship quality. Closet space was adequate. The desk, chair and coffee table did make the space a bit crowded. We ended up putting the coffee table under the desk to get it out of the way. The sofa was a pull out bed that could have slept another person. The balcony was a pleasant place to sit and read or enjoy the breeze.
