On embarkation our stateroom had not been cleaned from previous cruise. Didn't even see our steward on day one. Situation rectified after arguing with guest services and asking to speak with manager. Onward with a positive attitude. Evening main shows were poor. Didn't bother after day 2, but my family continued with it and said I didn't miss a thing. Performed 4 nights out of 8. 2 other nights they had guest performers. One a mediocre magician and my family says the juggler was good. Comedy shows were offered about 4 nights, 2x's per evening, but the early show was a repeat of previous day usually. The later show was 18+. Food was also average to below. Was served an under cooked pork chop on day 3. They were going to rectify but it would hold up the rest of my family. They also charge for room service about $5 per food item. Dinners were nothing special compared to previous cruises. No specialty nights. No chocolate nights, no dessert nights, no champagne towers nor champagne night. Best place to eat was Guys burger bar and the "hidden" BBQ place on deck ten, but even that got old after a while.

One deck party that was rained out and one 80s night that was pretty sorry. Deck service and bar service was slow. Not because they weren't working but they seemed short handed. Only one pool game in three sea days, which was the mans hairy chest competition. Unattended minors, and I mean several below the age of 10, ran around the ship day and night. Impossible to sleep or nap. They were laughing, banging doors, rough housing until three and four am and the noise resumed by 7am.

Shore excursions were ok. The ATV on St Marten was unsafe. My vehicle actually ran out of gas and I had to double ride with tour guide to get back to garage. They left the bike where it died and went back later for it. Then bus back to ship never showed up. They transported us 4 at a time with locals in private vehicles who had obviously been partying and were smoking blunts in front of us while we waited for a bus that never showed. 1/2 of us walked back to the ship instead. Enough said.

Cabin 8A

Small cabin, small patio even after we opened it between our two staterooms. Difficult for a family of four to sit there all at once. Definitely Not worth the rice upgrade.
